In March, Sonia Furstenau tabled legislation to restrict the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) in BC.

NDAs were originally designed to prohibit the sharing of trade secrets and to safeguard intellectual property, but they have become tools to silence victims of workplace discrimination and harassment.

Government must stand up against the misuse of NDAs and send a clear message to all British Columbians: Workplace harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated in BC.

This should not be a partisan issue. It is immoral and unethical. Victims should be able to speak out without fear of retaliation or silencing. They deserve for their government to stand up for them. Sign our petition to call for NDA reform now.

To see examples of the misuse of NDAs, look at Hockey Canada’s NDA scandal, or watch the testimony from victims of workplace discrimination or harassment in Manitoba’s legislative committee
